Just One Bucket of Coal

The International Panel on Climate Change tells us that every tonne of carbon dioxide that we emit into the atmosphere from now on will warm the climate further.
More warmth in the climate system makes our atmosphere more unstable: more very wet; more very dry; more big storms; more big hail.
More warmth in the climate system heats up our Earth: more hot; more drought; more floods; less food; more wildfires; more heat stroke.
More warmth in the climate system heats up our oceans: higher seas; smaller beaches; less polar ice; fewer polar bears; more dead penguins; white coral.

Just One Bucket of Coal

It only takes one bucket of coal
To fuel a roaring raging wildfire.
It only takes one flare of natural gas
To fan a raging damaging storm.
It only takes one barrel of oil
To swell a raging soul-destroying flood.

Yellow Coal Excavator

Yes, it only takes one bucket of coal
To fuel the wildfire outside your back door.
It only takes one flare of natural gas
To fan the raging damaging storm
That’s shaking your windows and howling all around.
It only takes one barrel of oil
To swell the raging tumbling flood
That’s heading towards your town

But which bucket of coal?
Just which flare of natural gas?
Which particular barrel of oil?

Orange Coal Digger

Every  single  one.

But you can’t blame my new coal mine.
And you can’t blame my new natural gas well.
And you can’t blame my new petroleum rig.

Yes, its each and every one!
